Women and Entrepreneurship

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of attending the Leading Change with Style Women and Entrepreneurship Brunch at the Skybox Event Center in Philadelphia, which I must say was one of the best networking events I’ve been to in quite a long time.  The panel included five successful and insightful women who shared their stories of how they became entrepreneurs in the fields of fashion, jewelry designing, McDonald’s owner-operator, entertainment marketing and author.  The open floor for questions allowed the opportunity for specific concerns to be addressed by the women at the event giving a more personal and intimate touch, rather than just hearing them talk.  But the best part of all was once the panel discussion concluded everyone had the chance to talk one on one and take pictures.  Now you know this is something that rarely happens, so I for one appreciated it.

Overall everyone from the panelists, those that hosted the event and the women that attended were genuinely sincere and I made connections that I’m sure will lead to great things to come in the near future.  It’s always good when we come together as women and support one another.
